Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What will happen if I need to cancel my booking?
In the event you have had to cancel your airport transfer, seaport transfer or long distance booking with Hill Taxis, as long as fair notice has been given by you the purchaser of the taxi fare, there is no charge for cancellation. However if in the event the driver is already underway to your pick up point we reserve the right to charge either the full amount of the taxi fare you booked or part of the taxi fare you booked depending on how far the taxi driver has driven to your pick up point.
Can Hill Taxis provide a quote for any destination?
We are licensed to carry passengers in England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland only.
What forms of payment does Hill Taxis take?
We accept cash, credit and debit cards either over the phone or in some cases in the taxi, we also accept direct bank transfers.
Are there any additional charges to the set fares?
Hill Taxis provide a fixed 24 hour rate, therefore no matter what time you travel to an airport or seaport the price remains the same 24 hours a day. We include meet and greet in our prices at no extra charge and we cover all airport parking charges. We also include four hours of waiting times within our price; therefore if your flight is delayed by no more than four hours there is no extra charge for your journey. After a flight has been delayed by more than four hours from its scheduled arrival at any UK airport you will be charged £15 per hour for each additional hour the driver has to wait.
Will I need to prepay?
We only need prepayment in full for single journeys starting at an airport. For return journeys, or single journeys starting in West or South Dorset, we usually do not require a deposit to be made.
Can Hill Taxis suggest a departure time?
We take hundreds of airport bookings a year and we can suggest a departure time that should allow ample time to arrive at the airport. However, due to varied traffic conditions and roadworks such as accidents and bad weather, we cannot be held responsible if there is a major delay on route to an airport or seaport.
What happens if my flight is cancelled or delayed? Will there be an additional charge?
If your flight is cancelled there is no extra fee incurred shall this happen. Sometimes flights are re-routed or diverted and if we have to travel to another airport to pick you up the price you are charged may change and is subject to change.
